Overview
BlackOps VPN is an Android VPN application that routes your internet traffic through secure servers using the WireGuard protocol. We are committed to protecting your privacy and operating transparently.
This policy explains exactly what data is collected, what is not collected, and how any data that is collected is used. We believe privacy policies should be readable — not buried in legal language.
VPN Traffic Data — Not Collected
BlackOps VPN operates on a strict no-log policy. We do not collect, log, store, or share any of the following:
Our VPN servers are configured at the infrastructure level to prevent traffic logging. There is no mechanism by which we could retrieve this data even if compelled to do so.
Advertising Data (Google AdMob)
The free tier of BlackOps VPN displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect the following data on your device:
- Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID)
- Android Device ID
- IP address (for ad targeting and fraud prevention)
- Ad interaction data (clicks and impressions)
- Device information (model, OS version)
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
In-App Purchases
Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to or store your payment card details, billing address, or financial information.
Purchase history is subject to Google LLC's terms and privacy policy. Subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are handled through your Google Play account.
Account & Usage Data
BlackOps VPN does not require account creation. You do not need to provide a name, email address, or any personally identifiable information to use the app.
We do not collect crash reports, analytics, or usage telemetry through the app itself. No third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel) are integrated into BlackOps VPN.
If you contact us for support, we retain your email and correspondence for up to 2 years to assist with your inquiry.
Android VPN Service Permission
BlackOps VPN uses the Android VpnService API to route your device's internet traffic through our encrypted servers. This system-level permission is required for any Android VPN application to function.
We use this permission solely to establish the encrypted WireGuard tunnel between your device and our servers. We do not use this access to inspect your traffic, inject advertisements at the network level, or transmit your data to any party other than the selected VPN server endpoint.
Before the VPN tunnel is activated, Android displays a system dialog informing you that the app will monitor network traffic. This is a required Android system notice — not our own data collection disclosure.
Children's Privacy
BlackOps VPN is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@getblackopsvpn.com and we will promptly delete it.
Data Retention
Because we do not collect VPN traffic data, there is no browsing history or connection log data to retain or delete.
- Subscription records — retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance
- Support correspondence — retained for up to 2 years
- VPN traffic & activity — never collected, never retained
Security & Encryption
All traffic between your device and our VPN servers is protected using the WireGuard protocol, which employs:
- ChaCha20 — symmetric encryption for data in transit
- Curve25519 — elliptic-curve Diffie-Hellman key exchange
- BLAKE2s — cryptographic hashing
- SipHash24 — hashtable keying
- HKDF — key derivation
WireGuard is an audited, open-source protocol widely regarded as the most modern and secure VPN protocol available.
